I started teaching at Stewart Elementary in 2006 as a reading teacher in 1st grade. After two years this 5th grade position came open and I was happy to accept it. Teaching has been a dream of mine going way back to high school. In May of 2017 I graduated from Mount Marty College earning a Masters degree in Curriculum Education.
My wife Laura and I have three boys. Being outdoors is very important to my family. We like to golf, go for walks or hiking, and love to swim. We also like to travel and see many parts of the world. My wife and I love to snorkel as often as we can when we travel.
Before becoming a teacher I was in the Navy where I was able to see many different parts of the word. I am very patriotic and love the USA. Seeing many different parts of the world I have first hand knowledge that the USA is the greatest place on earth to live. I have also lived in different parts of our country and believe that South Dakota is the best state to live in also.
